TSL014 - FUNDAMENTALS OF ACADEMIC READING
The aim of this course is to develop students' reading speed and comprehension. In this class, students will work on building their reading fluency. Reading fluency is a combination of reading comprehension and reading speed.

TSL024 - FUNDAMENTALS OF ACADEMIC WRITING
A writing workshop designed to reinforce essay composition skills and introduce students to the practice of writing for academic purposes

TSL034 - FUNDAMENTALS OF LISTENING & SPEAKING
The Academic Listening and Speaking course aims to help students improve their academic listening and speaking skills, take efficient notes in an academic context, and follow a process for creating and delivering an effective presentation.

TSL041 - GRAMMAR
This course is a review of the elements of grammar. We examine sentence structure, correct verb forms, case of pronouns, agreement, punctuation, and restrictive and nonrestrictive (that/which) clauses.

TSL051 - COLLEGE STUDY SKILLS
Students learn techniques for studying successfully in their college courses. Techniques may include time management, reading and writing methods, note-taking, test-taking and memorization skills. Students practice these skills using materials from other classes during the quarter.

CTU071 - FUNDAMENTALS OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION
This programme aims to provide professional and competent school teachers throughout Malaysia with Islamic Education, who would have high morals credibility as an educator.

TSL081 - INTRODUCTORY LITERATURE
An introduction to reading and analyzing these primary genres of literature: fiction, poetry, and drama. The course may also include creative nonfiction. Students will respond critically to readings of different historical and cultural contexts through class discussion and written evidence-based literary arguments.
